    Position Title: Research Technician II (Part-Time)

    The College of Arts and Sciences is seeking to hire an experienced Research Technician II. This position will be responsible for providing senior level support for research projects in the Alcohol and Interpersonal Violence Research Laboratory. With a focus on developing and evaluating low resource interventions to reduce alcohol-related aggression perpetration, and improve outcomes for victims of interpersonal violence. The Research Technician II will work in close collaboration with other lab staff to design, develop and implement components of the research projects, ranging from participant recruitment and tracking, data collection activities, literature reviews, reporting to granting agencies, and IRB submissions. They will supervise undergraduate team members and must show a high level of initiative, and be prepared to work independently with input from other team members.

    The essential duties and responsibilities of the Research Technician II are the following:

    -Participant recruitment and tracking, including oversight and coordination of participant recruitment efforts (e.g., community outreach), overseeing the process for conducting telephone screening for study eligibility criteria, and maintaining a recruitment tracking spreadsheet to evaluate recruitment efforts.

    -Data collection and management, including the execution of experimental research protocols, maintenance of multiple research databases, and creating and presenting summaries of research data.

    – Lab management, including training undergraduate research assistants in relevant study procedures; general laboratory upkeep and maintenance (e.g., ensuring supplies are ordered, participant remuneration funds are maintained).

    -Attend and participate in project meetings, including assisting the PI with creating agendas, taking and distributing meeting minutes, coordinating schedules and facilitating meetings across subcontract sites.

    Bachelor’s degree and two years of research experience; or high school diploma or GED and six years of research experience; or a combination of education and related experience.

    Salary : $14,003 – $20,000
    Pay Grade: 10
