Dr. Dominic Parrott’s NIAAA-funded research lab at Georgia State University is hiring a full-time, paid research assistant to join Project PASSION, which is an NIAAA-funded research project on the effects of alcohol and sexual minority stress on intimate partner violence in same-sex couples. The 5-year project is funded by the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism (NIAAA). Responsibilities will include participant recruitment, screening, scheduling, data collection, and other administrative support tasks. The research assistant will also be expected to assist with key research functions including data management and organization, conducting literature reviews, editing scholarly articles, and preparing IRB-related documents. Opportunities for authorship on presentations and/or publications are available.
Requirements: We are seeking an energetic, detail-oriented, highly organized and efficient, and research savvy individual who is committed to working and engaging with the LGBT community. This individual should also have the ability to work and problem-solve independently (following training). A BA/BS in psychology or related discipline is required.
