Our lab is within the Clinical Psychology area and Diversity Science research theme of the Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences. The CHANGE lab conducts community-driven research aimed at promoting the health and well-being of adolescents, young adults, and their families. We evaluate multilevel risk and protective factors related to health disparities in minoritized populations and develop culturally responsive and strengths-based interventions to promote health, wellness, and self-empowerment. Our approach considers the intersection of multicultural identities (including race, ethnicity, gender, class, size, and sexual orientation) and is primarily guided by Community Based Participatory Research (CBPR) principles, syndemic theory, and the socioecological framework.
