    Primary Study Description:
    A Technology-Augmented Intervention to Prevent Peer Violence & Depressive Symptoms Among At-Risk Emergency Department Adolescents (iDOVE2) is a NICHD-funded R01 investigation. We are conducting an 800-person factorial clinical trial of a two-part intervention (a brief session and an 8-week automated text message program) for at-risk adolescents seen in the emergency department. The research is completed within the Department of Emergency Medicine at Rhode Island Hospital/Hasbro Children’s Hospital and the Brown-Lifespan Center for Digital Health.

    Job Description:
    We are seeking a Clinical Research Program Coordinator to work on research focused in the area of digital health. Reporting to the Principal Investigator (Dr. Megan Ranney) and the Research Manager (John Patena), the Clinical Research Program Coordinator is responsible for assisting with the daily operations of iDOVE2 and other research studies/sponsored research agreements for the Brown-Lifespan Center for Digital Health. S/he will assist in: preparing, submitting, and maintaining multi-institutional review board documents; preparing, submitting, and maintaining federal and foundation regulatory reports; budgeting and managing financial accounts effectively; monitoring monthly expense reports for accuracy and conformance to budget; scheduling and facilitating research meetings; training and supervising Research Assistants in proper research protocols; coordinating Research Assistant work schedule; executing and monitoring sponsored research agreements; assisting with grant submissions; and assisting with literature reviews and preparation of abstracts, manuscripts, and presentations.

    Qualifications:
    Requirements:
    -Bachelor’s degree in public health or relevant discipline
    -Prior research experience and project management experience as a program/project coordinator (2+ years)
    -Prior supervisory experience (1+ years)
    -Highly organized, self-motivated, outstanding attention to detail, and ability to multi-task
    -Excellent verbal communication, written communication, and analytical skills
    -Excellent computer skills (e.g., Microsoft suite)

    Preferences:
    -Master’s degree in public health or relevant discipline
    -Interests in digital health, psychology, mental health, emergency medicine, behavioral interventions, or injury prevention
    -Familiarity with hospital/clinical settings and academic institutions
    -Familiarity with data collection software (e.g. REDCap), citation software (e.g. EndNote), and statistical software (e.g. Stata)
